Green Hills Park is a 12 acre Metro park located next to John Trotwood Moore Middle School in Nashville, TN.

Park improvements since Friends of Green Hills Park formed in 2015:
  • Green Hills Festival was established in 2016. It raises thousands of dollars for park improvements every year in September.
  • Parnassus donated a Little Library that has been installed at the Park and regularly supplies books.
  • A water fountain, benches, a bike rack and new trees have been added.
  • A $500,00 sidewalk was built in and alongside the park along Belmont Park Terrace.  In the southwest corner, a new entrance  and path were created.  In the northwest corner, a sidewalk now connects the park to Arden Place.
  • A standard crosswalk now allows safer travel across Belmont Park Terrace to Castleman Drive and a specially designed tri-color crosswalk creates a colorful connection to J.T. Moore Middle School.
  • Grassy berms have been added for play and picnics.
  • The entrance has been improved by removing the chain link fence and replacing it with a new park sign and wooden knee-rail fence. The porta-potty has been hidden in a wood structure.
  • Improvements are being made to the woodland areas, where water feeds into Browns Creek (and then flows to the Cumberland River).  The improvements, which include the installation of dog waste stations and the removal of invasive plants and replacement with native plants and landscape stones.
  • A natural obstacle course with stumps and beams has been installed.
  • Six disc golf baskets have been installed on the western end of the park.
  • A bluebird trail has been established.
  • A new shade pavilion, with picnic tables, has been added near the park entrance.
  • A new water fountain with a dog bowl has replaced the old standard fountain.
  • A misting water fountain has been installed by the playground.
