New in the Park:

• Metro Parks has planted approximately 25 new trees in the park. Some are by the entrance, some are along the new pathways into the park, and others are scattered throughout. They include Cryptomeria, Oaks, Beech, American Hollies, & Princeton Elms.
• Metro Parks will be improving the drainage for the standing water on the border with Lone Oak.  Once the area is draining properly, Cumberland River Compact will provide new trees for planting in that area.
