Movie pick -
Survey says: Despicable Me 3 will be the movie shown at our Sept. 15 Festival.
We are still accepting sponsors and silent auction items. Email friendsofghpark@gmail.com for more information.
New sponsor-
Big thanks to Major Chiropractic, who will be our Festival Obstacle Course Sponsor this year.  They offer chiropractic and wellness services at their office on Richard Jones Road.  Check out their Facebook page to get a flavor of their terrific health philosophy.

Major Chiropractic joins our other major festival sponsors, Chartwell Hospitality (with their new Green Hills Hilton and Residence Inn by Marriott opening this fall), Hill Center, the Village Fund,  and Reliant Bank.

Sidewalk information for Lone Oak between Shackleford and Overhill -
This sidewalk should be completed within one week.  It looks terrific:

Sidewalk info for Belmont Park Terrace -
The flyer below contains information about the construction starting in and near the Park. The 120 day timeline listed below does not include weekends.

Construction has started on the Arden Place link, and the goal is to have this segment reach the Park before school starts on August 7, 2018.  Then, construction will begin at the corner of Lone Oak and Belmont Park Terrace and will proceed north inside the Park toward Arden place.

The western section of the walking path will be replaced with concrete, and during this replacement there will be work done to improve the drainage on the north-west corner of the ballfields (water often ponds here).

Here are a couple of photos showing the Arden Place work so far:
