New Green Hills Festival sponsor, crape myrtles, Bike to Work Day May 25

5/3/2018

We have a new major sponsor for the Sept. 15 Green Hills Park Festival:

Chartwell Hospitality!  Chartwell's new development includes a Hilton and Marriott Residence Inn, plus harth (a farm to table restaurant with outdoor seating and wood-fired stoves), and a roof top bar atop the Hilton. The hotels and restaurant will be located at 240o Crestmoor. They will be opening in Nov. 2018.
Their sponsorship is much appreciated.

Do you have other ideas for sponsors, or would you like to sponsor the festival?  More info can be found here.

Speaking of the Festival, did you see us mentioned in the new Green Hills publication Rover Today?  The publication helped us create an ad for the Festival and also featured our Parnassus Little Library as a "hidden gem" in Green Hills.

And, have you seen the new row of crape myrtles in the park? They were planted this spring, thanks to generous donations by Arden Place neighbors, and the leadership of Ken Penegar.  They look great next to the little flowers that are blooming in the no mow zone.

Two more things:
  • Bike to Work Day is May 25.  Meet at 7:10 am in the park and we'll ride down Music Row to downtown (ride ends with coffee and doughnuts at Cumberland Park).  https://www.walkbikenashville.org/biketowork
  • Interested in helping with publicity and social media for the park and the Festival? Or curating the Little Library? Email friendsofghpark@gmail.com if so.
